Another way to present your resume objective (if you are in a research related field), is to call it “Research Interests”. Here’s an example from a Civil Engineer who had a PhD and was looking for a new job as a researcher.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Environmental, social and economic impacts of energy production and use; current and future electricity generation, transmission and distribution technologies; full supply chain life?cycle assessment of energy systems; hybrid life?cycle inventory and assessment methods; social & policy implications of life?cycle results.
